9/2/08: Course Registration Issues
- Freshman English: There are no more openings in English 102 or 101A. If you did not get in, or have been displaced, you need to take 101 this spring, and 102 next fall. In the meantime, this semester, we suggest that you take a social science elective (sociology, anthropology, psychology, economics, or political science at either 100, 200, or 300 level), or if you've already got that from AP or transfer credits, take a liberal elective (most things other than architecture, engineering or business).
- Studios: All students must re-register for the section of the studio they are taking. If you don't do this, you won't get a grade at the end of the semester.
9/3/08
- AIAS meeting at 6:00 pm in the Locraft Room.
- Last day to identify and remove personal items in public areas including studios (unless in, under, or immediately adjacent to a desk), east and west aisles of Crough on main level and mezzanine, jury spaces, etc.). If you have any personal items, put them in your footlocker or take them home. That includes thesis projects, models, presentation boards, lamps, tables, etc. Clearly mark your property with your name and phone number in large letters.
- First day that you can claim an unidentified and unclaimed personal item for your own. Are you in the market for a used parallel straightedge or other goodie? After Wednesday, help yourself. Anything unclaimed by Saturday September 6 (see below) will be out the door.
9/5/08
-
Last day to Add or Drop a course. After this you can only get out by Withdrawing.
- CSI meeting at 1:00 p.m. in the West Mezzanine Jury Room. Elect officers, plan activities for the year.
9/6/08
-
Campus facilities crews will arrive in the morning to cart off any personal items remaining in public areas (See note for 9/3/08). They will bring bolt cutters to remove locks except where used to secure clearly identified footlockers and stools.
9/8/08
-
Crough cleanup: Campus facilities crews were delayed this past weekend due to the heavy rains. They will now expect to arrive Tuesday 9/9 at about noon to start clearing out personal items. Please make sure all personal items to be retained are either placed on top of your desk or are very clearly identified with your name and either the words "Fall 2008" or your phone number. A lock will not keep unidentified items from being thrown out.
-
Registration: The deadline for adding or dropping a course has passed. If you must get out of a class, you can withdraw up until 11/7/08
