Graduate

CUArch seeks to enroll students who will be successful in the varied graduate programs of the school. Therefore, admission requirements vary from program to program. Please review the specific requirements for the program to which you are applying carefully.

Once an application portfolio is complete, it is reviewed according to the following criteria:

  • Potential to perform graduate level work,
  • Evidence of analytic and conceptual thinking,
  • Strong design skills,
  • Evidence of the personal qualifications essential for professional practice, and
  • Commitment to the profession of architecture.

A minimum of a 2.8 GPA in undergraduate studies is required, though a 3.0 GPA is strongly desired. A minimum GRE score of 295 is required, while a 310 is preferred (1000 required/1200 preferred if taken before summer 2011).

Students wishing to apply to CUArch’s graduate programs must apply online through the Office of Graduate Admissions. Any materials required to be sent to CUArch must be mailed; electronic versions of application materials are not accepted.
