Ming Hu


Ming Hu, AIA, LEED-BD+C, AP, is Project Designer and educator. Her creative work, teaching and researching interests and specialties have been Sustainable Design, High Performance Design and new Digital Design Technology. Her specialty in array of BIM technologies and environmental simulation tools allow her to lead the integrated sustainable process in big-scale and complicate project.

Ming Hu received Master of Architecture from Notre Dame University School of Architecture, she project designer in HOK. Her project experience ranges from high-rise mix used projects to Super-high-rise commercial tower and institutional and government projects including Abu Dhabi National Oil Company New Headquarter, King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center, Walter Reed Hospital Healing Garden, Constitution Square Office buildings.

Ming Hu served as a commissioner of City of Rockville, Environmental Commission. The commission consists of Rockville residents appointed by the Mayor & Council. Her presentation include "Form Follow Performance: Case Studies of Daylight Design and Computer Simulation” ( 2nd International Conference for Sustainable Design, Engineering and Construction); "Performance-Based Design”: (18th International Conference of Associate of Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia). Her publication include “ Zero Energy for High-Rise Building: Challenge and Strategies” (Building Enclosure Sustainability Symposium/Sustainable Building 2013).
