Symposium on Contemporary Issues Focused on Evolving Needs of the Catholic Church

An innovative symposium focused on the contemporary needs of parishes and dioceses, will be held on Friday, April 28th, under the auspices of the School of Architecture and Planning (CUA; A/P), and the Archdiocese of Washington (ADW). Panel discussions and presentations will encompass ways and means for improving the environment for prayer, salient changes in the Catholic world nationally and locally, on-going concerns for the upkeep and maintenance of physical plant, accommodations for senior citizens, and strategic planning for coming generations.

Three panels will take place in the morning, followed by lunch, and an afternoon case example of the challenges faced by a major parish church, in conjunction with its on-going improvement efforts, establishing a school, and adding an assisted living facility. Registration begins at 9 am.
